What is an interesting fun fact about you?

Earlier this year, I was a featured artist on Italy's hit TV show "All Together Now" performing with the famous Italian band "Dirotta Su Cuba". I was the only non-Italian speaking featured performer.

Sonny King (Tim Word) describes himself as an artist but a musician first with a true passion for music. A pro-tools wizard and professional music producer, King got his start as a musician playing in bands, choirs and groups as a drummer from the age of 8. After serving in the Marine Corp, he started a Hip Hop group called "The Family" that quickly gained fame in the VA and NC area.  The notoriety of his music group led to a record deal with NVS Music Group and eventually a single deal with Universal for his pop crossover hit "She Got Swag" and later "Ball Like Magic". 

Now with his own company, Music By King Inc, a music production company specializing in custom music production, mixing and mastering, and music licensing, King is in his studio working with indies, major labels, and TV shows to create a new sound to help push music in a new direction. King has composed music for several hit TV shows including “Mary Mary" (We TV), “Are you the One" (MTV), "WWE Total Divas" ( E! tv), “Ball in the Family" (Facebook exclusive) and "Huang’s World" (Viceland), “BasketBall Wives” (VH1), “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” (Hulu) and many more. He has also done Ad campaigns for Long John Silver’s and the NBA. Recently he was given the title of “Artistic Director & Head of A&R” for the label and charity organization Music for Love.
