What is an interesting fun fact about you?
One of the coolest projects I got to do was in the early 2000's recording voice overs by Stan Lee! He was super humble, professional and easy to work with.
Ron Kujawa grew up on melodic heavy rock sounds of the 80's and 90's in the suburbs of Milwaukee, often performing the city's local rock clubs in cover and original bands. Eventually, the appeal of sunshine and opportunity that don't exist in Wisconsin like they do out west drew Ron to Los Angeles, where he worked professionally in media and music production. "I learned a lot about the importance of creating brain-sticking melodies. What's the point of making music if no-one remembers it?"
After losing his wife, the mother of their two daughters, to lung cancer (she was a non-smoker) in 2009, Ron's approach to performing music and songwriting was intensely impacted. "After going through that kind of crucible, stage nerves and worrying what others might think about my art suddenly weren't such a big deal. There is a freedom that's hard to explain when what you fear the most has already happened."
Ron writes instrumental cues and vocal songs primarily aimed at film, TV and advertising. Rock, acoustic guitar and tension are his main focus, but he stretches the boundaries of his comfort zone and tries lots of other genres if not for profit, for the sheer enjoyment of it.
